Admin Abuse

Hi KZG admins,

Generally speaking, I have been a huge fan of your servers over the past few weeks. Have been surfing most days on the easy server meeting people that are great fun to hang out with in a great atmosphere.

While this is the case, recently an admin by the name of "struggler" ( https://steamcommunity.com/id/nosfxratu ) had made it his aim to flame me with a full server listening in. Personally, I did not display very polite behaviour. But I am not the admin.

 

He and one of his friend spent about 10 minutes verbally abusing me and ended up muting me after a server vote. I have no issue with the mute and I'm not looking to lift it. I just think his behaviour was completely unacceptable and he really should not be in a position of power like he is.

 

I hope this gets looked in to because I've been an admin on multiple servers in the past in many different games and I now refuse to be, simply because I know it comes with the responsibility of behaving like an admin. 

He has not done this.

 

I appreciate you taking the time to read and hopefully respond to this and I look forward to surfing on your servers again.

People don't just tend to abuse players for no reason... If you are being a straight up idiot then that's not on, you should be showing respect towards Admins/Players since everyone is human and has feelings. The admin shouldn't have "Verbally abused you for 10 mins" he should have just muted you and be done with it, I'm not trying to defend him but if he did abuse you he might have just had a bad day and dropped it on you without meaning to hurt your feelings or take things too far.

Also if it was 10 mins of him abusing you, why was there no recordings?

Hi,

Thanks for the prompt response. I have no recording software so I was unable to get any, which is partly my fault.. Seeing as I should expect people in power to have bad days and take it out on me so I can record them to prove it..

Regardless of how you feel, as an admin it is your responsibility to act like one.

@Giggles the Unicorn you seem like an educated guy and I have no doubt that there's truth to what you're saying, but without evidence there's not really a whole lot of action that can be taken.

I would tag the admin too get him to share his perspective but he does not seem to have a forums account

I am not posting here out of rage to get someone banned off of admin. I simply wanted to alert you guys to know that there are a few admins, some who I cant remember, that are abusing their power as "untouchables".

 

Perhaps sometimes you could come into the server on an alt acc and just check it out as things are happening. Who knows what could be happening.

I agree with Rensta Eclipse... Staff abusing there powers is definitely not on. Its worse than a regular player causing hassle for an admin. I know for sure I would never join a server again If an admin was tormenting me for 10 minutes straight.

I can safely say that what giggles described follows exactly how i have seen struggler/barchy act towards others with his admin powers, having been a target of it in the past and present with the hate group he and others made called "FuckTheRiddler" which thrasher touched on. Doesnt feel good and i can tell how giggles would be feeling with after being targeted by someone that should be a rolemodel for the server

Sorry for being late to the party as I had not checked the forums till now.

First of all, the second i joined the server earlier today this giggles guy ( among other players) were abusing a single player. Although there was others he was the most prominent and didnt stop even after I joined and asked everyone to stop argueing . instead turned to taking the piss out of me for asking him to stop and began to "witch hunt". After going back and forth for a while with giggles i realised there was no point trying to talk to him to calm him down and chill out and instead explained to him that i will be muting him if he continues the abuse.

He did not like this and began to do the usual "Piss take on the guy who flex his powers" routine saying i think im above him for being staff. The whole time this is going on other players are asking him to just stop talking but he was relentless. I explained to him noone here wanted to hear his garbage and if he didnt stop I would mute him. When he tried to argue and say i had no reason to mute him i put a vote to the server asking how long to mute him for as an example of how he was portraying himself to others, which passed.

The mute was justified and this is an utter joke you are making an abuse report for being muted, when you were toxic and I did my job.

 

Adressing the bullshit by the other staff on here, Its obvious thrasher shouldn't bet in the position he is( or any really) if this is the way he acts on forums; and the way he has acted towards me in the past. Him trying to say he doesn't know who I am is a joke and in poor taste but i dont expect much from him to be honest as I have seen how he interacts with the community and other admins. Ranging back to the KZG rust server days he has been known for poor decision making and refusing to discuss these mistakes with anyone; silencing anyone who opposed him with no respect for the community. I am not here to call out thrasher as I have faith Skyprah is well aware of how he behaves.

 

Now reguarding riddler, from day one you were toxic towards me and the entire reason you dislike me is because you wouldnt believe I was staff on combat, and asked me to ban you to prove it. I did ban you ( for 1 minute if i remember correctly), To which you rejoined the server afterwards talking big about having me demoted, telling players YOU were getting my perms removed and why I shouldnt be staff on KZG in an incredibly arrogant manor. This is petty and to be honest I have yet to see one redeeming quality you possess to keep you as admin, but I know you have experience on another KZG server so I understand you must be doing somthing right.

Every other time you have been on with me you have been toxic not just to me but to most players and have been told of your actions when you're in a bad mood on the server like muting any player who talks against you. You are rarely friendly to any player and I honestly have never heard good things about you on the combat server, but i dont know how you acted on aim(?).

 

The group "Fuck2riddler" was a joke group made after riddler banned chibi( one of the most well known and active surfers on both our combat and skill surf servers) for 2 days for saying the word "nigga" in a casual way. While I understand he argued after the fact which i did ask him to stop( and actively defended you at the time) I think a 2 day ban for saying nigga with no warning is a bit over the top. It was at this point I was asked to join the group as a joke "uprising" on the server. If people seriously take offence to a group on steam which is a known joke and DONT say anything about it until they have a chance to try stitch up someone they dont like they need to rethink how they use the internet and how they act as a person because that is genuinely disgusting way to behave in a community they supposedly uphold.

From now on a mature thing to do would be to contact me, chibi or harry( easy surf head admin) that you find the group offensive and we would have removed it immediately.

 

I have not only been a staff member of KZG for around a year, but have been admin on surf servers for the past 3 years, two of which the biggest surf communities in their respective ticks. The only 3 abuse reports I have received in that time have been in the past few weeks by players who are blatantly toxic and believe they need revenge for being muted. I understand sometimes I am short with players who are being intentionally toxic on the servers, but having to deal with players everyday teaches you when players are on the server to surf and socialise or to talk shit and cause trouble.

 

The fact that some staff have used this post as a way to take digs at me is so pathetic and I think their integrity should be honestly questioned.

 

Feel free to take any of this up with me over VOIP as people throwing back and forth on a forum post is not only annoying to follow but slow in progress.

Im just going to point out that i have joined the surf server and Ive just sat there for awhile listening to people talk and they have talked about how admins have been abusing there roles on the surf server. Now Im not taking anyones side here they could have just been saying that because they have been muted before for something and they dislike the admin.

Im putting this up because Ive heard this from people in the community.

Well that was alot to read you make some good points but only some because you leave out alot of facts in what you say, starting with giggles saying that he was doing the usual "Piss take on the guy who flex his powers", funny you meantion that because it's exactly what happens to me from the members of your "joke group" they actively target me to the point where i need to take action against them and get abused for doing it. The fact that you make a post on it saying its all a joke when people are looking at it shows it wasnt a joke and your just doing your best to cover it up for the hate group that it was. 

Now to talk about how im "toxic" towards you, if you knew me or anyone that does know me you would know that i dont hold grudges against anyone WITHOUT very good reasons, and that reason is that i have never seen you perform any sort of admin duties correctly or showed any sort of rolemodel behaviour while on the combat surf server, you honestly treat the server like trash. You blantantly break the rules mostly in the form for racism and racist slurs which has been the one thing that i have been trying to stamp its ugly head out of our server, repeatedly you have seen me punishing others for being racist and using slurs like the "n" word and then you undermind my work by using it yourself ignoring me completely. Then we move on to how you treat people inculding me, even though you try to get off that you never do anything wrong you continually abuse and target people that either you dont like or look at you the wrong way, giggles account of what happened is a standard example of how you treat others. Those are the reasons i dont particularlly like you or think that you shouldn't be an admin and rolemodel on our servers.

Also how you think i act on the server is only from yours and others point of view as almost everyone on the server doesnt like me because im one that actually enforces rules on the server which till me and other new admins started on the server rules were hardly ever enforced. The fact is you dont see me being friendly to others on the server is because the short times you are on you see me dealing with your friends that like to make my life miserable, most of the time the worst of the server dont see the best in it and i see the best in it and it has never included you sorry to say.

If you have only recieved 3 abuse reports about you as an admin and they were in the past weeks then maybe you should look at how you have been acting in those last weeks instead of thinking people are targeting you. Other staff members are "taking digs" at you because they see how you have been acting and are talking out about it, you should be questioning the integrity of yourself and stop blaming others for pulling you up on your actions as an admin on the server we all love
